Dr. Sheldon L. Eakins is an experienced school administrator, education consultant, author, speaker, and founder of Purposeful Teaching Academy. His mission is to help educators create student-centered learning environments where all students thrive. Dr. Eakins specializes in leadership development, school culture, and practical strategies that support teaching with clarity and purpose. He holds a BS in Social Science Education, a MS in Educational Leadership, a PhD in K-12 Studies and brings over 15 years of experience across K–12 and higher education, including roles in special education, alternative education, and school administration. Through Purposeful Teaching Academy, Dr. Eakins partners with schools to deliver personalized keynotes, workshops, and coaching that foster strong relationships, boost engagement, and support lasting change in teaching and leadership practices.
